Let’s Pray

Psalms 25:3:  No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.
Heavenly Father, give me a teachable spirit and a desire to know Your ways. Keep me separated from the ways of wicked men and help me to walk daily in the path that you have set before me. Open my eyes to Your truth as I study Your Word, and help me to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, day by day. This I ask in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
My dog has the right idea. She takes the leash in her mouth when I take her for a walk, so that she can lead me. It is an endearing gesture and always makes me laugh. If this give and take happens between animals and humans, surely it happens between us and God. And as we live in that relationship, we wait, and receive, and lift our souls. We learn, change and grow more and more into the image of God in which we are created
Lead me, Lord, in the path of Your choosing. Lead me, I pray, along a level path for Your name’s sake. Thank You, Father, that You are a faithful God. You are the One who leads and guides, and You are the One Who corrects and trains. Lord, shepherd me along the path of Your choosing. Your love and faithfulness are without measure, and I trust You to lead me along the path of righteousness all the days of my life. This I ask in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Loving Father, You are my God and Saviour and I love and trust You with all my heart. Help me to make the right choices in my life so that in all I say and do Your name may be glorified. Teach me the way that I should go, knowing that all Your ways are good and all Your paths are peace. Protect me from those things that would harm me and uphold me with Your gracious hand today. And in the days that lie ahead, I pray that may I never stray from the path of righteousness. This I ask in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for Your mercy, compassion, peace, and love. Thank You for blessing all who trust You, with so many spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Thank You that in Christ Jesus, You have revealed the secret things of Your heart to me, and to all who fear Your name, and thank You that by the grace of God, I am what I am in Christ Jesus my Lord, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Oh Lord, I am ill and feel frightened and alone as I have no one to care for me. I have no one who is really interested in me at all, and I feel lost and alone and so vulnerable. And now Lord Jesus, I have come down with this sickness and I feel so ill. Lord, I ask You please to make me well again soon, and lift up my sagging spirit, I pray.
I know Lord in my heart that I am not alone, because You are with me, which is the real reason that I am praying to You now, because You promised to be with me and never to leave me or forsake me, even when everyone else does. Be with me now I pray, and reach out Your healing hand of blessing and touch me Lord. Please make me feel better, not only in my body but also in my life, I pray.

 

In Jesus’ Name. Amen!.

Thank You, that I can call on You in times of trouble or illness or loneliness, and know that You are always there to hear and answer, to heal and comfort and help. Lord, I pray that You would help me to really apply this truth in my life, not just when I am sick, but every day.
